What it does

This action writes Flow data to a file on your SFTP server.

When to use it

Use it when another system expects file-based delivery for orders, customers, or other operational data.

Before you start

• Install Flow Buddy
• Confirm your plan includes SFTP
• Open SFTP Settings in Flow Buddy
• Gather host, port, username, password or key, and destination path

Setup steps

1. Open SFTP Settings in Flow Buddy.
2. Enter the server credentials.
3. Save the settings.
4. Open Shopify Flow.
5. Add the SFTP Export action to a workflow.
6. Choose the file path and payload content.
7. Run the workflow with test data.
8. Confirm the file appears on the SFTP server.

Each new order appends a CSV row to a fulfillment export file on the merchant's SFTP server.
