What it does

This action sends a prompt to a supported AI provider and returns generated text to Shopify Flow.

When to use it

Use it for product copy, summaries, tags, internal notes, and other text you want generated during automation.

Before you start

• Install Flow Buddy
• Confirm your plan includes AI actions
• Open AI Settings in Flow Buddy
• Gather the API key for your provider
• Choose the model you want to use

Setup steps

1. Open AI Settings in Flow Buddy.
2. Choose your provider.
3. Enter the API key.
4. Select the model you want to use.
5. Save the settings.
6. Open Shopify Flow.
7. Add the AI Text Generate action to a workflow.
8. Write a prompt that includes any needed variables.
9. Run a test workflow and inspect the returned text.
